Adults Count! A Survey on Youth and Adults with ASDs in Ontario
NEWS FLASH!
DUE TO THE GENEROUS FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF OUR FUNDERS, THE SURVEY WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL AUGUST 31st, 2012!
If you have not yet participated in this province-wide survey funded by Ontario Ministry of
Community and Social Services, Kerry's Place Autism Services, Autism Ontario, and Geneva Centre Foundation, please email us
at adult.survey@redpathcentre.ca. When you do, you will be provided with an individualized link to the survey version
appropriate for you. It can be completed by the diagnosed individual themselves, a family member or professional who supports
them. Each survey completed will report on the needs of a youth (16 or over) or adult who has been diagnosed with an ASD.
Adults Count! will provide important information on the profiles and service needs of youth and adults living with ASDs across
the province of Ontario.
Autism Comes to the Hospital:
In this
study, we are trying to learn more about what it is like for kids and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorders to spend time in
the hospital due to a medical condition. We want to hear how it is for the kids themselves, for their parents, family members
and for the staff who take care of them while they are at the Hospital for Sick Children. We hope to learn from all three
groups so that we can figure out how to make these experiences the best they can be for all those involved. This study is
being carried out at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. If you have any questions or would like more information about
this study, please feel free to contact Priscilla Burnham Riosa (Research Coordinator) at 416-813-5885.
