Dori Zener is an Individual, Couple and Family Therapist at The Redpath Centre and a Social Worker in the Child Development
Program at Bloorview Kids Rehab. At Bloorview, she conducts strengths-based psychosocial assessments for families of children
with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disability, Developmental and/or physical
disability. She provides solution-focused consultation to families to assist with their adjustment to a diagnosis, crisis
management, system navigation, family and marital issues, caregiver fatigue, and sexuality. Dori has helped parents of children
with disabilities increase their parenting confidence and competence through the evidence-based "Triple P" (Positive
Parenting Program), and has presented the successful outcomes at conferences and internal presentations. Dori is actively
involved with inter-professional education and recently collaborated with professionals across the GTA to develop "Perspectives,"
a program to educate interdisciplinary health care students about collaborative care for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders
and developmental disabilities across the lifespan. Dori has been interviewed by national media regarding the impact
of diagnosis and support options for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

and adults with Asperger Syndrome, self-esteem, building and maintaining relationships, parenting issues, couple and family
counseling
