Nadia Petraroja is a Child and Adolescent Therapist
at the Redpath Centre and a Child and Family Therapist for Aisling Discoveries Child and Family Centre in Scarborough
where she works with children, adolescents and families with social/emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, learning
disabilities and ADD/ADHD. She has experience in addressing physical abuse, domestic violence and parenting concerns. She
also supports young children with learning disabilities through a remedial tutoring program. Nadia incorporates her 11
years of experience as an educator at the elementary and junior high school level in her clinical work with a broad understanding
of the school system and school related issues with children and adolescents. Nadia has worked professionally both as
an educator and performer in the areas of music, drama and dance. She has written a play with music on the topic of nutrition
which toured schools in the Toronto area. She enjoys composing and performing songs for young children. Nadia
incorporates the elements of drama and movement into her work with children through role play and creative/expressive movement.
